SENDIASS have launched two new quick guide information videos about SEND support in schools and EHC needs assessments and Plans to serve as a first introduction to these topics for parents/ carers for whom English is an additional language.
Based on feedback, the content is in written English to encourage familiarity with key terms and phrasings that parent/carers will see and hear but audibly narrated in another language. We are hoping to add written subtitles in the spoken language, if we can, at a later date. Currently these videos are available in:
- Farsi
- Pothwari
- Romanian
- Tigrinya
- Urdu
Joining them shortly will be:
- Polish
- Czech Slovak
There is also some further planning to seek adding British Sign Language.
