I am a mum of 4 children, one of whom is autistic and goes to a specialist school. As the parent of a child with special educational needs I realise how hard it can be to navigate the NHS and education system and to understand what support services are out there. I have joined Leeds Parent Carer Forum to help make changes so it is easier for parents to access services and to ensure families feel supported.
