We’re very proud to share that Leeds Parent Carer Forum has received two incredible recognitions for the work we do with families of children and young people with SEND.
First, we were Highly Commended in the Diversity Project of the Year category at the Leeds Compassionate City Awards. These awards shine a light on the amazing individuals, groups and organisations making Leeds a great place to live, work and visit. The Diversity Project of the Year category celebrates projects that help create a fairer, more inclusive city. At the ceremony, we were described as:
“offering connection, support and a powerful platform for families navigating complex challenges – helping to build a more inclusive, responsive city for SEND families.”
We’ve also been named “Partner of the Year” at Leeds City Council’s 2025 Awards for Excellence! This award, presented by the Children and Families Directorate, recognises our commitment to improving services for children and young people with SEND, our strong partnership working, and our dedication to making sure parent and carer voices are heard and acted upon. We were nominated for our “commitment and passion and tireless work” to ensure families’ voices shape service development and change.
These recognitions mean so much to us. A huge thank you to our amazing team and all of our members – your passion and commitment drive everything we do. Together, we’re making a real difference for families across Leeds.
